Statement of Faith of the Hagios Letter

WE BELIEVE in the Holy Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Ghost as three distinct persons existing as the Godhead. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

WE BELIEVE the Word of God as being verbally inspired, inerrant and infallible. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

WE BELIEVE in the literal instantaneous creation as recorded in the Genesis of Holy Scriptures, Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

WE BELIEVE sin to be rebellion against divine government as it has been defined by scriptures from the beginning; that there are consequences to sin; and that all sin will ultimately be judged by the perfect justice of God; and that sin separates man from God; and will damn the soul that rejects the atoning blood of Christ. Ezekiel 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Ezekiel 18:4,20 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

WE BELIEVE in redemption from sin through the atoning blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, incarnate Son of the living God. Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; That good works cannot secure eternal life but when eternal life is secured good works follow. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Romans 10:10a For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

WE BELIEVE in the supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit in and through the believer’s life evidenced by:
1. receiving the Supernatural character (divine nature) of Christ at the time of new birth evidenced by a desire to be holy as God is Holy. 1 Corinthians 1:30; 1 Peter 1:15; John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name;
2. The supernatural ministry of Christ (divine works) through the gifts of the Holy Spirit subsequent to the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of praying in another language as the Holy Spirit gives utterance; Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 8:12-21; Acts 10:43-46; 11:15-16; 19:1-6. (We further acknowledge the common existence of a tongues phenomena, found within and without the church, not of Holy Spirit origin.)

WE BELIEVE sanctification consists of dedication to God and separation from the world and that holiness of life is absolutely essential to valid Christian experience and salvation. Romans 12:1-2 (Verse 1 dedication) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Verse 2 separation) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

WE BELIEVE world evangelism to be the loving obligation of the church to the lost of the world; to make disciples of all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ out of all nations, baptizing them in water by immersion; instructing them to observe the teachings of Christ and the apostles contained in the Word of God. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

WE BELIEVE in the glorious and imminent return of Christ to planet Earth with fiery indignation, the destruction of the government of Anti-Christ; and that Christ will establish the Kingdom God upon earth. 2 Thessalonians 2:8-9; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

WE BELIEVE in the millennial reign of Christ; the resurrection of the just and the unjust; the final judgement when divine justice will rectify all wrongs committed on earth against the righteous; the blessed final state of the holy found worthy to receive eternal life. Revelation 20:11-12 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is {the book} of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
