The Holy Spirit represents us –
linking us with Jesus and the Father’s throne!

Jesus said, And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter (Divine advocate to come along side you), that he may abide with you for ever; John 14:26. And, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26.

Jesus makes intercession for us –
represents us before the tribunals of God!

Jesus has risen having made the legal atonement for our sin and represents us to the Father as we pray.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Romans 8:36.

The word comforter is the Greek word, paracletos which mean advocate or lawyer. When we get into trouble we need a legal authority, someone with great knowledge about legal options and what we can do to to get out of trouble! That is precisely the purpose of Jesus’ to fallen man in this world. We are sinners and rebels against God and we are in trouble! We are in BIG trouble and the only way we can get out of this mess and be forgiven for all of our offences committed against God is through those redemptive provisions Jesus has provided for our release from an eternal death penalty. Only Jesus can get us out of this trouble we are in. First Jesus came from heaven seeking to help us and then He sent the Holy Spirit to complete the legal connection between the sinner saved by grace and the throne of heaven! Do you have that connection with God’s throne? To gain heaven you must have connections in heaven! When a man gets into trouble it really helps to have connections. Did you know that God has provided redemption for you. You’d better look into it. A great price has been paid for you to go free! It’s an amnesty plan like nothing ever given to a man on earth. All you have to do is make that connection with heaven through Jesus and you will be declared scott free! Satan has filled the world with so many distractions and voices. But the information you need to make the connection that will forgive you all of your sin and make you a new creature (which will happen) and get you into heaven has been printed in black and white. It’s in the bible just for the reading! That will put you in contact with the comforter and He will take it from there – and it’s all free for us – He has already paid the penalty for you. Your heavenly connection knows all about the plan of blood redemption and will take you through all of the red tape. You have nothing to do but just be sorry for your sin and rebellion against God. It’s that simple.

Jesus is in heaven working in the church through the Holy Spirit representing the redeemed to the Father. The apostasy now smothering out the fires of original apostolic doctrine will not effect the Christian who resists popular evangelicalism. The Holy Spirit is very much the advocate and remains close to those dedicated to the holiness of God and the truth of His Word! May God send one last gushing surge of the Holy Ghost in the darkness of these last days and eclipse the apostate profile and give the church and the world a last chance to make a clear choice between authentic Christianity and popular evangelical ecumenism.

Here is what several different authorities on the Greek have to say about the Greek word we have translated into English as comforter;

Parakletos {par-ak’-lay-tos}; an intercessor, consoler: advocate, comforter, INTERCESSOR, LAWYER, LEGAL COUNSEL, MEDIARY, ADVOCATE.
I) summoned, called to one’s side, esp. called to one’s aid
1. One who pleads another’s cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense,legal ssistant; an advocate.
2. One who pleads another’s cause with one, an intercessor; so of Christ in his exaltation at God’s right hand, pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins.
3. In the widest sense, a helper, succourer, aider, assistant; so of the Holy Spirit destined to take the place of Christ with the apostles (after his ascension to the Father), to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the gospel truth, and give them divine strength needed to enable them to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the divine kingdom.

So the Lord Jesus Christ is at the throne of God, representing us to the Father, and the Holy Spirit is His advocate at our side insuring that we are being represented at the throne interceding in our behalf. He staves off our enemies and at the same time is my direct link to the throne.

We have Jesus there at the throne interceding for us and the Parakletos at our side representing us.

The Holy Spirit is our legal counsel. When we get into trouble wit the enemy, we call on the holy Spirit just as you call on a lawyer and tell him the problem you have. The Holy Ghost says, Everything’s all right, just leave this to me. I know the law and have the power and authority to represent you at the seat of judgment. Leave this problem with me and you go home, have a a nice meal and forget about it, it’s in my hands now. Wonderful comforting Parakletos! He comes alongside and represents us to both God when we confess our sins and fights our battles for us at the throne.

The Holy Spirit is my legal counsel. He has a legalistic portfolio but the liberals and positive gospel preachers don’t want this out and want to keep it a secret. If the only gospel we had was what the liberals and charismatics tell us – we would be deprived of most of the essential saving truth of the Bible.
